Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Girls,

Just wondering has anyone had a wash and blow dry in a salon while having micro bead hair extensions in?

    Thanks!

    Twinkle :)

I found it hard to find salons which will actually blow dry extensions; I think they are worried about wrecking them accidentally. Some also charge extra.

The salon I got mine done in does the blow dry at the normal price but it's out in Ballinteer so not very convenient for most people.

I personally wouldn't. Washing a full head of micro bead extensions is so different to washing your own hair, you have to "pat" the shampoo on and be so gentle. Hairdressers tend to have a habit of scrubbing your hair with their nails, it'd ruin the extensions. Plus, you'd have to make sure they have the hairdryer on a low heat when it's directed at your roots so as not to damage the tips of the extensions inside the beads (the tops of the extension strands, the part that goes inside the bead, are bonded together like a shoelace, you probably saw when you were getting them done) and the high heat hairdressers usually use would damage that bond and cause the hair to shed from the bead, when enough hair sheds the extension is too small for the bead and slips out.
