Ger Canning has clearly been given instructions to comment negatively every two minutes on Ibra's attitude/commitment despite him putting in some strong tackles in the first 30mins.

Liverpool wonk. Plenty on here at the moment; odd fellows.

Oh, since England are playing i thought it was going to be about that. Was confused when i saw OP was from Waterford. Unsure of relevance of club team during an International.

    So will everyone else...

Read somewhere that Gomez has only had possession of the ball for something like 23 seconds, and has 3 goals.

They'll have an out ball with Rooney. That might give them hope. Ashley Young is gash.

England aren't good enough to soak up pressure for 65 minutes, they need to keep the tempo up.

    They did it against France

He does his homework but he seems to have the least understanding on what is actually going on in front of him.

Just now Gerrard "fired" in a two-yard pass to Cole etc according to him.

Canning has being commentating on euros/world cups for donkey years now.

Just watch it on BBC so, although you'll have to suffer listening to lawrenson.

He's over in Poland, lending his considerable support. Hopefully he's not brushing up on his footie knowledge in anticipation of a gig in Brazil.

Sweðen seem out of ideas at the moment. Playing very deep.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭Renn

    Super from Ibra again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

I keep banging on about it but the system seems to have the Swedes confused about what they are actually supposed to be doing on the pitch.

Any chance of a change to 442 again buddy???

No that was quoting Wayne Rooney on what he was going to do after the Euros.

    Hugging the ref ftw.

    Ah lads Ger is brilliant.

    Really?

I think he's offering almost nothing in midfield. Parker is doing everything in places. Gerrard just pops up now and then in front of the Swedish goal. Then again this match is so bad that you may be right.

That is a depressing thought. Although it's probably true, Ger Canning has got a lot more games this time. Marty probably wants some of the action too.

This GAA assimilation started as a joke, it is becoming all too real :(
