I made a bank transfer yesterday at 3pm using the form shown in the attachment. Its for 105 euro and just checked and the money has not left my account yet. Is this normal or has the transfer not went through for some reason?

    Hi m.j.w,

Thanks for your query. InterPayplus transfers can take 3-5 working days to process. If the funds haven't debited your account after that time you should contact the branch where you made the transfer. A staff member will be more than happy to check its status for you. You can find contact details for the branch here.

If there's anything else we can help you with let us know.
Good luck with the Canadian Visa,
    Graham

Interpay can take 3-5 days but surely not in this case. For euro payments with EU/EEA (this one is domestic) banks must ensure that the beneficary account is credited on the next working day. Where the payment was initiated on paper (as this was) bank can take one day extra. So in this case the beneficiary account should be credited in two working days.

Legislator is quite right, since the transposition of the PSD (Payment Services Directive) in 2009, all euro denominated (electronic) payments within the EU (and a few other countries) must be credited by the following working day unless the instruction is received after the shut-off time or in paper in which case it can take an extra day.

    Hi Legislator and Contactless,

The InterPay service can be used to make a variety of payments, some of which are regulated by the Payment Services Regulation (PSR). For PSR regulated payments, because an InterPay is a paper generated payment instruction, it's entitled to an extra processing day and will be received by the beneficiary/receiving bank within two working days. As such, an InterPay instruction received before the relevant cut-off time on Monday will be processed so that it reaches the beneficiary/receiving bank by Wednesday. Any further processing by the beneficiary/receiving bank is beyond our control.

For other InterPay payments, which aren't regulated by PSR, the payment will usually take 3-5 working days, but sometimes longer.

Thank you both for your feedback,
    Graham
