Difference between 417 and 457 ?

    What is the difference between a 417 and 457? I know the 457 is sponsored but are they both working holiday visas? How do you get a 457 can you apply before you go? Please explain thanks

    I would suggest a read on immi.gov.au and the FAQ
    417 is a working holiday visa.
    457 is an employer sponsored visa. I.e a company put you forward for a temporary work visa up to 4years. You can only work for this employer.
    How do you get a 457? You need to get a job that will nominate you.

    As I said nearly all this is on the Australian FAQ inc links to immi.gov.au explaination of visa. Plenty of other threads on here about 457.
