    How much sherry should be used in the average sherry trifle.

    I'd use about a cup full. Enough to give the sponges a good soaking and then an extra glug ;)

    Depends who you ask.

    Ask my mother, about half a thimble.

    Ask my late nan, about half a bucket.

    I preferred my nan's.

    :(
