A touch of the Tom Daley's from Wazza there.

General Q for ya. Do you think there has to be contact in the situation where a goalkeeper throws himself at your feet, missed the ball and you have to hurdle him?

At least the pre-season ends on a good game...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,958 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Rooney really orchestrated that penalty there. He was looking for the 'keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

The old Pires, Adam Johnson, Welbeck dive there.

Jump over them, then kick them, then go down. In a friendly aswell. Bad form.

he is staying in my team this season. expecting goals and assists from him

Fergie, I know I've complained about tactics a lot since the City game, but there's a new tactical plan I think I'd be happy with. Just put Kagawa, Rooney, Nani and Cleverly on the same pitch. Cheers.

Thought it would be a bit quieter in here with Ireland boxing for gold in the Olympics.

Great to see United score goals. All set for the Premiership 2012/2013.

    Ah Nani!

Nani loves that chip finish. Just put it away!

The MUTV commentators are like worried parents every time Tom Cleverley falls over.

D: Why does Anderson have a bra on???

i had every intention of putting him in after gw1 along with wazza, i think i might start off with him because his link up play is incredible and he also seems to have an eye for goal. Very david silva like imo.

the question is though where is rvp going to fit in if kawaga plays behind rooney?

Jesus I can't wait to see Rooney, Kagawa, Cleverley, Nani and Valencia absolutely destroy the EPL. :D

If we sign a CM I will jizz in my pants.

yes we get it MUTV commentator guy, they were 3-1 down and won

While RVP is obviously world class the above is a huge negative if we sign him. Not a bad problem to have as it gives options but will limit much needed game time for other. We shall see

The first pre-season game I get to watch and it turns out like this. Lucky me :D

Rooney and Kagawa will be sexual if they're played together as the cf and no10.

Definitely not imo. You could just run straight into the keeper and put both yourselves at risk of injury and then you would definitely get a penalty. Hurdling the keeper still puts you at a huge disadvantage so it should be a penalty contact or not imo.

One of the main positives I've taken from our pre season is that our ears don't have to suffer from Paddy Crerand for another year.

It wasn't Katie fighting and unfortunately as a result not near as many cared about it.

very true, i mean chico and welbeck wont be happy. No wonder welbeck is actually stalling on the contract renewal. Id like too see us getting baines instead tbh, i feel LB is a problem despite evra playing well tonight.

I go along with this. Dont see it as diving.

Yes and I'll tell you why....

Lets say a defender comes in for the slide when your running towards him, you push the ball past him and hurdle the challenge, he does NOT connect, you are in on goal, no foul....

Would you want a free kick for that?

There simply HAS to be contact, going away from goal or not in my book

Guys, call me paranoid, but does anyone think it strange that SAF missed another game? I don't recall him ever missing two games in a row, ever.

I'm not fully convinced about the "club business" excuse tbh.

Back of my mind I think its something health related, maybe a minor op or something

I thought his attempt to stop the cross which led to the back-heel goal was very poor.

Im not sure what you are getting at here? Do you mean that you would be disadvantaged by the ref calling a foul? If the above happens I would expect the ref to play an advantage like normal!

Or maybe the club just don't want him travelling too much? He's already after travelling a fair bit this Summer in fairness.
