Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

"Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."

Has this theory ever applied to your life? I know for myself I often use it as an excuse when things go belly up. In reality, is it just the law of averages in practice or do we perceive that we're been persecuted by some unknown force?

Who's this Murphy character you speak of ?

Its supposedly named after an American Aerospace engineer who attempted to introduce flawed measurement techniques into his profession.

    I'll take this one.

Murphys law is only applied when things start going wrong because in the past you didn't make the necessary measures to ensure a positive outcome.
Let me explain in this example.
Conor O'Connor ( not real name ) works in the civil service has a very important work project to be with a dead line to be completed in 4 months.
However Conor O'Connor go off on a drug fueled binge for a couple of weeks and when he realises that time has passed him by decides to get the project done the night before the deadline.
He goes to his laptop and there is no battery left in it.
He goes to charge it and cannot find the charger.
He finally finds the charger and plugs it in only for a windows Service Pack update to start.
An hour and a dose of meth later he finally starts, when suddenly a chugger comes to the door. He is in such a state of dissaray that he attacks the chugger and leaves him in a pool of blood on the ground.
The guards come and after a vicious fight is brought into custody and relased the next morning.
He goes into work the next morning and tells his supervisor that he was sick and not able to complete his task only to be told "ha thats ok it was only a report on speeding up the process of housing people on the waiting list."
Conor cant believe the trouble he went to for such an unimportant issue.

Woud be a good name for a Larry Murphy hosted late night chat show.

Even Twink would steer clear of that one.
