I'am trying to connect my ps3 to the internet through my laptop by sharing the internet connection and with local area connection. I have windows 7 on my laptop and it won't let me share the internet connection. It calls my local area connection a public network and it well not let me change this status. Any idea what the…

Change the network location to home and try again.

Why go through your laptop? Ps3 have there own wireless adapter, i presume you have a wireless router in the house? Your not trying to use one of those dongle thingys are you?
