Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What shoes to wear with dress

I don't think the shoes would be appropriate. But as the dress is plain you have a lot of leeway with the shoes.

I think a metallic shoe would be lovely. Or maybe a fushia pink or deep purple

The shoes you have up don't go with the dress at all; personally I'd go with gold strappy sandals. Gold looks great with that colour dress..

Hey, OP. I'm in two minds personally about whether or not the shoes would go. Maybe post a pic of you wearing the shoes with the dress. Like, I think that green and the pink would go together, they'd be really bright and summer-y but just to be sure? Also, there's a little bit of green in the shoes which could clash or compliment the green of the dress.

Hey there. If you really want to go with those shoes I'd be wary of how you accessorise the rest of your outfit. Have you thought maybe about going for a plain shoe and getting some shoe clips to match the dress colour? I got a set from Two Crafty Unicorns that we're great. I think they can customise the clips aswell so you could ask their advice on a colour scheme. The clips I got were only about a tenner aswell so they won't break the bank and you can reuse them after the wedding.
I think tan11ie could be onto something with gold complimenting the dress nicely:)

The ones you have are completely wrong for the dress. They are great shoes and dress is very nice too but you need something more classic.

    Or even something like that:

Although if you go for something like second option, I'd take the dress shopping with me and check how colors really match.

Thanks everyone for the replies and sorry for not getting back sooner!

I've come around to everyones thinking in that these shoes are not really acceptable for a wedding so thanks everyone for the suggestions :) I'm afraid I wont be going for gold because I just cant stand that colour but thank you for suggesting it!

I've been looking up other shoes based on all of the helpful suggestions I've received here and have selected a couple that I like and think are possibilities:

    and

So opinions anyone? Are these more of a wedding shoe that would go with the dress or am I hitting way off the mark again?!?

Nice dress, I love green. I think these shoes would be nice with it, gold as someone else said would go well and these aren't too gaudy gold if you know what I mean

I think both are great but I can't really tell from the pics if they'd match the dress (always hard) . I think they are young and fresh, you don't want to be boring and think they are perfectly appropriate for a wedding.

I Think the fuchsia ones would go lovely with your dress , they would stand out ...

Silver would also go with the green , something simple like these ones here
