Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Given is at fault for any goals tonight I kinda hope he retires tbh..

I'm hoping he stays on personally but it's his decision. You don't become a bad player over 3 games though, and he has plenty of years left as a keeper if he wants to keep playing. His injury has to have affected his form a bit in the first two games, even if he hasn't still been feeling it he's probably not as sharp as he'd like to be from lack of training. And anyway, he's been made a bit of a scapegoat, unfairly in my opinion.

Few lads walking that yellow card tightrope.

Makes no difference for our lads as the cards expire at the end of the tournament.

Looking forward to the contest tonight. I reckon it might be close enough.

I'd go for a draw at half time, with both set of fans cancelling each other out with chants of "Ole, Ole, Ole".

Things should open up in the second half, with the Irish going for the old favourite of "Give it a lash Jack", the rendition of this will put them into the lead, and this lead will be enhanced with the emotional singing of "The Fields of Athenry".

With this lead the Irish look to have an unassailable lead, however this leads to the fans relaxing, and the resulting own goal of "Put Your Green Cape On" give the Italians a chance.

Disaster strikes for Traps men, as another own goal quickly follows as a Bohs fan starts a solo of "Hold Me Now",

Sensing blood, the Azurri go into the archives themselves with the proud singing of "Nessun dorma", the spirit of Luciano Pavarotti gives them the victory,

What's the story with Italy, do they just need a draw?

Ronnie just said it - past the magical 4 minute mark.

    Hope that doesn't jinx it.

If he isn't fully fit he should have told the manager.

Need to beat Croatia's win against Ireland if it finishes 1-1 in the other game I think.

20th anniversary of the murder of Irish fans in a pub up north by loyalists. On phone so don't have exact info

Ref giving all the decisions to Italy. Duff fouled, play on, same thing happens to pirlo: free kick. No corner for duff, goal kick! Ref seems to be favouring the 'big' team.
