Haven't seen this mentioned here but it seems El Nino is responsible for our nasty "Summer" weather, dragging the Jet Stream down much further South this year and pulling all that polar air and storms in it's wake. Any thoughts?

We're still in ENSO neutral for the moment, with some models hinting reaching El Nino by late July/early August, but most don't get there until September onward.

As for why the weather has been so s h i t e... there are more knowledgeable members on that topic here, but it would seem the -ve PDO may be playing a role, but things can still change for July and August, I mean, it can't get much worse, right!?
