OK Guys I have a little dealette for you - especially if you are into a decent full AV system using top notch AV components..

    Here's the deal:

    Optoma HD33 3D ready 1080P Projector:
    showimage.php?image=309117.jpg&max_width=300&max_height=260

    Whether 2D or 3D, the HD33 impresses.

The DLP technology from Texas Instruments maximises light output and has the added benefit of eliminating crosstalk from 3D images. 1080p resolution gives the HD33 superb detail - especially noticeable on larger screen sizes. Furthermore, the HD33 is fully compatible with 24p film speed, ensuring that films appear exactly as the Director intended.

Some of the HD33's rivals still use the inferior LCD-type projectors and it's with the contrast ratio that this is most apparent. Using the preferred method of ANSI to measure the contrast ratio, the HD33 comes in with an extremely credible 500:1 rating - far better than most LCD competitors. The upshot of this is superior performance in terms of realism and noticeably improved clarity and depth in lighter conditions.

When it comes to daily use, the HD33 is user friendly. A noise level of just 27dB makes it whisper quiet - literally. It also has a wide range of sockets. Twin HDMI sockets that are, of course, 3D compatible, let you connect up a couple of HD sources such as a Blu-ray player and games console. In addition to this there are also component, composite and PC inputs. Weighing just 4.5KG, the HD33 is lighter than many projectors, making it ideal for ceiling mounting.

For big screen entertainment with the option of 3D, the Optoma HD33 is a true standard setter.

    Onkyo TX-NR717 AV Receiver

With 4K upscaling, THX Select2 Plus approval, a high spec amp and enhanced connectivity, this Onkyo is serious about home cinema.

    SERIOUS ABOUT SOUND

This is the first Onkyo AV receiver in their line-up to use Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry. Combined with the massive power transformer and WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology), this amplifier produces huge current, making it ideal for explosive movies and dynamic music.

With 130 watts per channel, the TXNR717 has enough grunt for even the most demanding speakers and larger rooms. Added to this is a discrete output stage. By using discrete (separate) components rather than an IC chip, superior quality components can be used for a more detailed sound quality. In recognition of the Onkyo's outstanding ability, it has been awarded THX Select2 Plus Certification, meaning it meets exacting standards set by the Lucas Film studios - that's highly impressive given the price.

7.2 CHANNELS WITH THE OPTION OF BI-AMPING

With seven rather than five channels, the TXNR717 adds front effect speakers for a more enveloping sound. You also get the additional benefit of the more advanced Dolby ProLogic IIz processor, which enhances TV viewing in surround. If you were wondering what the "7.2" channel output means, that's explained by the TXNR717 twin subwoofer outputs. When used in this way you get a better spread of bass and can use two smaller, but "faster" sounding subwoofers for a tighter, better controlled bass. As an alternative to using the seven channel outputs, you can use the standard five but with the front speakers bi-amped. This gives added control and is especially impressive in stereo mode when you'll hear a much broader and better controlled sound.

    MARVELL QDEO 4K VIDEO SCALING

Going one stage further than conventional 1080p upscaling, the processor has the power to upscale to twice that level! Known as 4K because of the horizontal pixel count of 1080p TV increasing from 1920 to around 4000 (there are several formats all offering slight variations). Currently 4k TVs and monitors are specialist items but, watch this space; prices are coming down all the time. At the moment there are already 4K videos available over the internet but with the TX-NR717 the upscaling ensures, whatever the format, you're all set for the future of 4K. In the meantime you can also upscale signals to 1080p for the best image quality with Full HD TVs and projectors.

    UNRIVALLED NETWORKING ABILITY

The Onkyo TXNR717 comes with some of the best network connectivity in its class. Connect via Ethernet or use an optional Onkyo dongle to join your wireless network. From here you'll be able to access a massive range of Internet radio stations plus cloud-based music servers such as the hugely popular last.fm and Spotify (Country specific). In addition to this, DLNA certification ensures it's easy to stream music from your laptop or PC. Added together, this streaming flexibility makes the TXNR717 much more than just an AV receiver, it makes it a complete music server.

    CLASS-LEADING CONTROL INTERFACES

Like many of its rivals, the Onkyo TX-NR717 features the option of an app based control. Available free for either Apple or Android devices, the control app lets you use your smartphone as a clear and comprehensive controller. Unlike others, however, the TXNR717 also features InstaPrevue. This innovative new technology uses the HDMI connections to preview other sources via picture-in-picture. Brilliant for seamless source switching, InstaPrevue is a joy to use.

    ENHANCED CONNECTIVITY

With the Onkyo TXNR717 it's the little things that make the difference. So, in addition to all the connections you'd expect, there are some you might not. For example, the PC input is very unusual but a great way of connecting up your PC's video output to the big screen. Being musically minded, the TXNR717 also comes with a MM phono stage - enabling you to connect up a record deck without the need for a separate phono pre-amp. No fewer than eight HDMI sockets are provided with one being on the front for the connection of occasional devices such as a camcorder or smart phone. Added to this are twin HDMI outputs, making the TXNR717 ideal for using with both a TV and a projector. The TXNR717 also features both Zone 2 and 3 outputs - perfect for music via active or passive speakers in another two rooms. There's also a front-mounted USB socket. It might not look much, but this little socket will transform the sound quality from your iPod or iPhone. By connecting to the USB, you'll benefit from a digital connection. This gives a direct signal and, hence, purer sound quality than using a conventional dock or analogue input. If you don't have an iPod or iPhone, the USB socket will also accept music signals from other MP3 players or multi-media devices. Finally, all the speaker connections feature 4mm banana sockets for the best quality connection possible.

For a home cinema receiver with a strong focus on music as well as movies, the TXNR717 makes a mellifluous choice

    BOSTON SOUNDWARE XS 5.1 SE

    WHF5.jpg

"Shinier than before and just as enjoyable to listen to, this excellent little Boston Acoustic package is a must-hear." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.

With a raft of detail improvements, the Boston Acoustics Soundware XS SE improves still further on its award-winning brother.

One of the main appeals with the Soundware XS has been the stylish and flexible satellite speakers. Now finished in deep gloss they look more impressive than ever. As before, their asymmetrical shape makes it possible to neatly mount them in a corner, against a flat wall or on a shelf. Further improvements have been made with the satellites now having rear panel wire grooves for even neater installation. What's more, the articulating wall bracket now features a stylish cover and there's a corner mount also included. As a whole, then, mounting the Soundware XS satellites gives you a smoother, more professional look than before.

Although they look considerably better, the top quality sound hasn't changed. Despite their tiny size, the XS speakers use 2-way drivers to deliver a bright, detailed sound with powerful and natural sounding vocals. Mount them discreetly around your room and it's easy to achieve a "room of sound" without there being any speakers obviously visible.

Backing up this detailed and spacious sound is a powerful bass response. The 8 inch, vented sub bass unit is matched up to a 100 watt amplifier for effortless control of the lower frequencies. With BassTrac circuitry, the bass is not just powerful but extremely well controlled and blends seamlessly with the satellite speakers.

For the perfect mix of sound and style, the Soundware XS SE once again provides an XL performance from an XS package.

This is the package - it normally retails at £2498 - I can do a special on the system at £1999.95 which is a massive saving..

If you wanted to add the matching 92" Optoma screen we will do it at just £99.95 to come to £2099.90 / €2599.99

As ever if you are interested in any of the above - we can design a customised system swapping Receivers or Speakers for others if you prefer - just drop us a lin to 048.90.33.00.44 or drop us a mail to sales@richersounds.ie and we will do our very best to look after you,
