Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I am a proud boardsie.

However I have a deep dark secret. Years ago on the internet I was making an argument which proved to be simply incorrect.

The laughter, the ridicule... I could only bring myself to think about it lately after years of denial...

So friends, any traumatic incidents of you being incorrect on the internet.... I know acceptance is the hard part, but after you accept you were incorrect maybe you could teach us from the mistakes you made.
It is an important lesson and everyone needs to learn.

Even more No than Squod. Ive never been wrong on the internet. Ever. More infallible than the pope I am. Better looking too.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

This one time, I didn't get electrocuted. Man did I feel silly that day.

The thing to do when you discover your wrong is to make a quiet exit from the discussion and lick your wounds for a couple of days. Then make your return and hope that everyone has forgotten about you.

    Wrong?

My logic is perfect, therefore I can never be wrong.

I was wrong once back in the early 90's, luckily for me that was before t'internet and there is now no written proof.

When you're wrong on the Internet, just call the person you're debating/arguing with a Nazi. Works every time.

On a completely unrelated note, I once got into an internet argument with Judd Hirsch's son, called him a Nazi and signed off....

    I wasn't wrong. But I wasn't right!

I was once wrong on the internet. Rather than accept I was wrong, I pretended that I was right and valiantly defended my position until everyone lost interest. I am both proud and ashamed of that

That's the cowards way out, at that stage it's time to throw logic out the window and tell them their whole argument is ad hominem.
