    Hi,
Our 2.6 year old boy is pronating a lot and the physio suggested to get him out cycling (with stabilisers of course). Any suggestions where to get a good bike?

    Thanks.

Barbers is where we all got our bikes as kids. Great shop, very professional.

Would you start with a balance bike I wonder? I was going to get ours a balance bike for her second birthday. That's what all the kids in holland and germany learn on. They are cool! You can start from 18 months on them apparently.

My son is 2y 9 mths and only recently started some serious cycling on his balance bike. Got it for his 2nd birthday (changed the wheels for smaller size) but wasn't much keen to ride it only up until last month. He's now doing 2km laps around the park no problem and he's surprisingly good in keeping balanced for several seconds!

Got it for two thirds the price of amazon

Didn't grasp the idea of hand brake yet, though!
The bike itself is surprisingly light compared to the bigger one with pedals and stabilisers.

Have a 2 year old who just inherited a balance bike from his sister. He hasn't much interest in it after 3 weeks so far, but we'll keep trying. FYI, you can get a balance bike from argos, lovely wooden one, for about 45 euro I think

In terms of bikes, he wants to get up on his sisters 14 inch bike, but he doesn't get the pedals.
You can get a smaller bike (12 inch) with stabilisers. There's tonnes of them around

Love the balance bikes as well- will definitely be getting on closer to the time.

+1 for the balance bikes. I think this will be the Santa gift this year!

We got a Puky Balance Bike for our daughter, and she absolutely loves it. It's probably the best money we spent on her so far.

They are very popular in Germany, and we ordered it via a German Website. Even with shipping it worked out cheaper then ordering it from a local site. Very good quality with Metal frame, and not one of those flimsy ones. Would strongly recommend them.

Do you have a link for that site please?

Got a Ralegh bike in euro cycles for 90 euro. 14" wheel size.
Good stabiliisers which I suspect will be in use for a while.
