I think this will be very tough for England and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a "shock" defeat.

He shouldn't start ahead of Rooney and Welbeck deserves his place on performances alone plus the fact he's already established a good partnership with Rooney. I also expect a better performance from Young with Welbeck and Rooney starting.

dunno what carroll has to do to keep his place in that team. Arguably the only form forward they had coming into the tournament starts scores gets dropped.

Either way I expect violence, on the field, in the stands or on the streets after this. Sad but I think thats what we'll be talking about tomorrow

He'd probably have to massively reform his game. He doesn't offer as much as either Rooney or Welbeck at his current level.

but was never gonna keep his place ahead of Rooney. The fact that him,
Young and Welbeck have been playing fairly consistently together all season
probably played a part.

Can't see England losing, could be a tough one for them though and neither
Spain or Italy will be an easy quarter final.
