    Unbelievable decision.
I'm watching on me phone and trying to make dinner at the same time and even I could see that was in the first time around.

    What does the scoreline say?

Cos it would be 1-1 if Terry wasnt there.

It would be 1-1 if the 5th official wasn't blind.

    It was over the line.

Just cause Asst Ref got it wrong.

    He was beaten to goal.

To suggest otherwise would be blind.

    Absolute joke.

Imagine there's a guy getting paid to stand 5 yards away from the line to decide whether it's over the line....

    FFS!

Only joke is that it wasnt given offside to start with.

Still, gets it right up those who found lampard's non goal hilarious.

He got turned inside out just before the goal.

Players get turned inside out in every game, some stand there or make a half hearted jog in the bague direction of their goal, some dont.......

You are just as blind if you fail to acknowledge the offside seconds before.

Justice = done. Even though it came about the wrong way.

That ref will need to leave Ukraine this evening !

That has to be the best job in the world - make mistake after mistake and nobody cares!

The f*ckers should be sacked if they get a decision wrong.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,521 ✭✭✭Giggsy11

Milevsky was offside in the build up to the goal. It was over the line but it shouldn't have got that far. Should've been flagged offside.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Those officials behind the goal are utterly useless.

Even if he saw it he's powerless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,177 ✭✭✭TheTownie

Ukraine striker was offside when the ball was initially played from the back so two shocking decisions in a few seconds.

Add to that the missed header that was offside a few mins before that.

It is such a shame as Ukraine deserve something, just like Sweden. England will get battered if they face someone have decent at these championships. Gerard looks knackered. Cant ask a 32 year old to play so many games in a so few of days.

and still 1-0 if the linesman spotted the offside. So everyones blind and it evened out.

Look at the replays guys - over the line or not it shouldnt matter!!!!

The first through ball saw the player definately offside.

Justice was done. England didnt deserve to concede on that attack.

Yeah, he was about a meter offside. Can't believe the commentators didn't mention that.
But still, poor form on the goal line ref

EDIT: Actually, a decent point was made about the post obstructing the official's view....but still.

Have the GL officials actually contributed in any way in this tournament? I've seen every game and I can't remember them having any impact, only a negative one.

Thats great but it's not his job to call it offside, if the linesman flag was down he should have called that a goal.

Surely there's nobody out there that will defend those pointless clowns now. They have one thing to do, and its been messed up. Looking forward to hearing how Platini will defend this. It's an experiment that hasn't worked. Time to move on and dump these wastes of space.

Walcott could make a big impact here, the game will most likely be stretched with Ukraine going for a goal, can see Walcott get plenty of the ball in decent positions

Whats that got to do with anything ?
It was a ridiculous comment to be fair. If he wants to be bringing up injustices in past England games, what about Fat Frank's goal against the Germans in South Africa? Or is it only decisions that favour England that count?

My 4th post on the topic - if the officials were all adept at their jobs it wouldnt have got that far. Ukraine havent been robbed at all. Play shouldnt have gone that far.

UTV NEED to say something about this. They are trying to drill home the belief that Ukraine have been served an injustice.

I didnt say anyone was right but they both fcuked up in the end, the 5th offical should call it as he sees it, there was no whistle blown so he should have called it a goal be it right or wrong.

Canning sounds like such asn arse when he criticises players.

Like your mother trying vaguely to understand whats going on but still joining in anyway.

You don't seem to care that England were served a massive injustice from the linesman before it even got to that stage though?

Just desperate for the Ukranians to get a goal even if its undeserved under the laws of the game?
