    Hi all,

Will be going backpacking through Africa next week, and will be doing a safari. Does anyone know of any adventure shops in town, or out in the Crescent, etc.?

    Cheers.

Thats Emerald Alpine on Roches Street, River Deep is on Patrick Street, but yeah, either of those two places would be your best bet I'd say!!

if youre gonna be doing lots of walking etc... buy yourself some comfortable shoes or even better gore-tex runners a good brand like the north face, merrell etc. Tk Maxx has a lot of good quality adventure clothes at a reasonable price, also their runners and boots can be good quality waterproof and gore tex material etc at a fraction of the cost of emerald alpine. I know this is outside the republic but www.surfmountain.com is based in Belfast, deliver within 48 hours and is of good value.
