Video Cam Streaming

Question Is it possible to get a Camcorder or Video camera to connect directly to the Internet (Via WiFi) and stream to a streaming server on the Internet. I have looked on the net but cannot find anything. i Don't know much about this so i might just using the wrong terminology in google Many Tanks DR
