OMG - was at the Everyman last night and saw "Pagliacci" - so felt that I had to 'sing' to the world (well Cork) as I'm dying to talk about it. Was anyone else there last night???

I thought it was the most incredible performance from the minute you were outside the theatre, through the foyer and the stage setting itself, the costumes, the orchestra, the singing - especially the leads .............. WOW.

I didn't know what the story was about and I've only experienced Opera a few times in the past - but "Pagliacci" just left me gobsmacked (no easy task).

I would also say if you've never experienced an Opera before, then let this be your first taste of it, I left that auditorium last night thinking to myself this feels like a West End Production. (And unfortunately for my colleagues at work - I've been humming part of it this morning).

Sorry for being so gushing - but as I said I really want to see what others thought of it. J :)
