O2 offering 51c/MB data roaming for billpay customers before new EU rates in July

    You may be aware that from July 1st there will be EU-Mandated maximum charges for voice and data roaming charges.

    Between now and then O2 are offering billpay customers a rate of 51c per MB for data roaming in the EU but you have to sign up....

    From July 1st 2011 you can get more value when you use the Internet on your phone while roaming in the European Union. Now you can pay just 51c per MB of data used.

    Who is this promotion for?

    This promotion is available to you on any O2 Bill pay plan.

    How can I activate this promotional tariff?

    You can opt into the tariff any time by texting ONEMB to 50202. You will receive an immediate text back to let you know that the promotional tariff will be activated within 24 hours. Once the tariff is active you will receive another text to confirm.

    You can also ask for this tariff by contacting customer care

    How does the tariff work?

    Once you have opted in, all your data roaming usage in the EU is charged at 51c per MB. Usage is rated in per KB increments.
