Just thought I'd throw this question out there and see what you guys like on the data fields when you are doing your run training.

I tend to have BPM HR , Avg Pace, and distance on first screen.

Time, calories and HR% Max on the second.

Cant figure out what to use the other 2 for without distracting me and from scanning through pages as I run.

    Cheers

elapsed time, distance, current pace, HR bpm on the screen. Don't switch to other screen usually.

    Garmin 305.

I go for the big blob of water screen myself.

Just turn the other two screens off. I only use one screen (on the 310)
Distance, total time, lap pace and avg overall pace. Everything I want fits into 4 fields. No need for anything else for me.

Elapsed time, average pace & distance are the ones I have on my 310xt.

Current lap pace is the big display, average pace and distance on the small displays
I don't switch screens when racing.

+1 for running, use cadence and speed on a 2nd screen when on the bike.

    310xt

    Run:

Screen 1: Total time, Distance, Avg pace
Screen 2: Lap time, Lap Pace, HR Zone
Screen 3: HR, HR Zone, Pace
    Screen 4: Pace, Lap Pace

I have runs where I never look at watch, runs where I'm monitoring my effort by HR Zone, Runs with intervals/reps hence lap time/pace screen etc.
So certain runs may only see 1 screen required or none etc. but I've it set up as available so I don't have to change at start of a particular run etc.

May as well use the gadget in the way it's designed imo.

Eventually got around to configuring the other screens.

Screen 1 - Current lap pace, average pace, distance - for racing
Screen 2 - Current lap pace, lap time, lap distance - for intervals
Screen 3 - Average pace, elapsed time, distance, clock time - for easy/slow runs
