Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ever wonder why car drivers pull out in front of you?
have a look at this and you can see how it may happen.
It doesn't excuse it but it makes it understandable.

Aren't these the same as blind spots? All bikers give the lifesaver look, or at least they should but all drivers should really too. The lifesaver doesn't get rid of blind spots but they do help.

What percentage of car v motorcycle accidents are caused by this, do you think? I would say it is minuscule compared to the percentage caused by inattention and just generally bad driving.

Not saying that this isn't a factor in some crashes, but it certainly isn't a definitive reason as to "why car drivers pull out in front of you".

Nothing to do with blind spots, no.

Where did I definitively say that is the reason that car drivers pull out in front of you?
I said " you can see how it may happen"
Yes, general ignorance and bad driving is mostly to blame but its a curious phenomenon that may explain why otherwise observant drivers fail to spot a motorcyclist.
