Where should I live?

Hi.

I think I'm moving job. I'll be based in the city centre, next to Bus Áras.
I had a look for somewhere to rent on daft for places within walking distance of work but they're all either dumps or too expensive.
So I thought it would probably be a better idea to rent somewhere further out but close to the Luas line as that stops near work.

Anyone got any recommendations for a decent area that will preferably have rooms to rent in a house and not apartments that's on the Luas line?

Whats your budget..?Why stick to the Luas line when the Dart line is just as handy.

Probably 350 a month, 400 at a stretch.

Would definitely go for dart line rather than luas line - much nicer places to live, and also dart works out much cheaper than luas.

Some areas to look at might be drumcondra/clontarf ... maybe sandymount/ballsbridge, but these will be more expensive.
