-English H: Hard to know but hopefully a B2
    -Irish H: B2
    -Maths O: Who cares
    -Economics: B1
    -Geography: C2
    -Physics: D3
-Italian: Hoping for an A but depends on how the paper goes on friday.

    Maths : C3 hopefully
    English: B3
    Irish(ol): C1
    Business: B3
    History: B3
    Phys/Chem : B2
    French(ol): C1

Grand total of 420 points which mean i will be repeating :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 288 ✭✭HeaneyBabe

I would hate to have to repeat :(

Ye'll all be fine. Just stay positive. Enjoy the summer and try not to stress out too much. And if you're going for med, you don't always have to repeat the LC, just the HPAT. You could reapply to the CAO 2013. and just focus on the hpat for 6 months!

    English: B2
    Irish (OL): C2
    Maths: B3
    German: B3
    History: B1
    Economics: C2
    Music: A2 (hopefully, it's tomorrow)

I think that's being conservative enough with Maths, German and Economics.

+25 for maths is 495. That'll do me grand, as long as I don't get a D in OL Irish.

Well these are my optimistic grade predictions but I'm I'm pretty sure I'm in and around these. I'm hoping for:
English: A2 (fúcking paper short story titles)
    Irish: A1
    Maths: C2
History: A2 (didn't get last essay finished)
    Physics: B2
    French: B2/B1
    Engineering: B3
Have Music tomoorow but hoping for a B1/A2 :)
Thats 540 I think, counting the 25 extra points for Maths! I'd be ecstatic with that tbh! I'd have my first choice and an Entrance Scholarship in Maynooth ;D but I could be completely overestimating.. I hope not though! :pac:

    Don't be ridiculous.

Everyone knows CSPE is Common level :pac:

    I do Higher Level.

CSPE is not just a subject. It's a way of life.

    Hoping for something like this:
    Maths: D2
    English: B2
    Biology: B3
    French: B2
    Business: B3
    Accounting: B3
    Irish(OL): C1

That gives me 460, but some I might have done better in. Should be OK for my course unless they raise the points by 100.

  • Registered Users Posts: 63 ✭✭Pepperr

Best case scenario.. (More likely than not I will be down a grade in each)

    English B2
    Irish B1
    Maths A2
    Chemistry A1
    Biology A2
    Technology A2
Applied Maths (Haven't done yet but hoping for an)A2
    French(Ordinary) No clue, doesn't matter!

All honours but the French which I dropped out of a few months ago! I hope this is enough for my course..Im stressing out that I won't get it! GAH!

    Pessimistic Predictions:

    English: C2
    Maths: C3
    Irish: C1
    French: B2
    Phys/Chem: C1
    DCG: C3

    Points: 430 (I got 435 last year. :()

    Optimistic Predictions:

    English: B3
    Maths: C2
    Irish: B2
    French: A2
    Phys/Chem: B2
    DCG: C2

    Points: 480

I really wanted 500 points or more. And an A1 in French, an A in Irish and Phys/Chem and at least a B in DCG. :(

My first choice was 475 last year, my aim is 500 to be safe and just to have a nice round number :P

So, I think I managed the following:

    English - B3
    Russian - A1
    Construction - B2
    Physics - A1
    Economics - B1
    LCVP - Distinction
(plus did OL Maths, Irish, German)

    Total: 510.

    Happy Days!

    Pessimistic predictions:

    English: C3
    Maths (OL): D1
    French: D3
    Business: D3
    Accounting: E
    Biology: C2
    Ag. Science: C3

    Points: 290

    Optimistic predictions:

    English: C1
    Maths (OL): C3
    French: D2
    Business: D2
    Accounting: D3
    Biology: C1
    Ag. Science: C2

    Points: 350

Really need to get 350 points!!!:pac:

    Slightly optimistic predictions:

    English B1
    Maths B1
    Irish B1
    Biology A1
    German A1
    Physics A2
    Chemistry A1
    Applied maths (on Friday)

That would give me 585. In reality I could go down a grade in chemistry, biology and physics, giving me 560. I'll be happy with 560, maybe slightly disappointed with anything less.

Overall I'm happy with how the exams went (apart from maths). I was worried I'd drop a huge amount from the mocks but I think I've improved or stayed the same in everything except English and maths. Delighted with chemistry in particular, I'm confident of an A and I got a C2 in the mock.

I was really worried the leaving cert would be devastating for me as I was really really lazy for most of the last 2 years, so I can't complain at all about any of my estimated grades (except maths).

And I have no clue how I'm going to do in applied maths. With my optimistic grades an A1 in it could bring me up to 600 (omg!) but that's EXTREMELY unlikely. Probably going to be a B.

My advice, be as pessimistic as you possibly can, therefore you're bound to be happy on August 15th! :P

I predicted my results last year... Worst possible result I could've gotten was 420. I got 15 points above that, so it was a good thing I was pessimistic about it!

    Pessimistic -

    English: C2
    Irish(OL): C2
    French(OL): C1
    Geography: D3
    Art: D1
    Phys/Chem: D2

    Optimistic -

    English: B2
    Irish(OL): B3
    French(OL): B1
    Geography: C3
    Art: C1
    Phys/Chem: C2

I'll probably get better results than I'm expecting tbh, pretty pessimistic.. Still haven't a clue what I'm aiming for in college, highest atleast 370 points course, and the lowest is 315 which I'd probably get.. Haven't a clue what I'm going for :)

Being really pessimistic, about 410. Wouldn't get into my course :/ I'm not totalling up optimistic scores, I don't want to get my hopes up :/

In our school it's policy not to leave exams early so I've spent the final 20 minutes of more than one exam grading my previous papers question by question. Here's what I think I'll get...

    English - A2
    Irish - A2
    Geography - A1
    Biology - B2
    Engineering - B1
Music - on Thursday. Got a B1 last year and my paper was incorrectly marked. Should have got an A2 so that's what I'm hoping for this year.

Also did Chemistry (H), Maths (O) and French (O). That would give me 535 which will leave me 10 points shy I'd say. Hopefully I might pull the A1 out of the bag in English due to the fact that so many people across the country won't have a decent poetry essay. Let's hope so at least!

I'm really happy with how the exams went. :D Here's what I think I got:

    English HL-B3
    Geography HL-B3
    German HL-C3
    Biology HL-D1
    LCVP-Merit
    Physics OL-B1

    That's a total of 360, and my course is 340. :D

I think I'm being a tad pessimistic about biology really, just not getting my hopes up because I really feel I did poorly in it. I'd also like the A in physics and a distinction in LCVP, but we will see how it goes.

All subjects are higher level except maths.
    Being pessimistic:
    English:C1
    Irish:C3
    Maths: D1
    Geography:C1
    Home Economics:B3

    That totals to 410.

    Optimistic:
    English:B2
    Irish:C2
    Maths:C2
    Geography:B2
    Home Economics:B1
    History:B1
    Biology:C1
    That's 465 points.

I'd be thrilled with either because I'd get my course. I would have liked to do better in English and Biology though because I got nearly straight As in both of these over the past 2 years.
