Tomorrow I'm going to Ballsbridge Colleges enrolment day and it mentioned about paying a €30 deposit, does anyone know if this deposit means you are guaranteed a place or not? I'm really confused by it

I suspect it is to stop timewasters putting their name down for loads of courses to cover all the bases. If your course forms and your enrolment is there, you're in.

It's as close as guaranteed as you can get. They obviously can't know whether the course can actually begin (if there wasn't enough interest etc.) nor can they know if the prospective student achieves the necessary grades to secure a place in the college. So assuming the course commences as scheduled and you know you've the grade requirement, I'd say you can rest assured you have a place for as long as you want it! :)
What course are you looking to do by the way? I applied for Chinese & Business Studies a few months back. Really looking forward to it!
Good luck with the interview!! :)

Edit: just seen the date there whoops
