Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a 2009 Ford Focus Econetic 1.6 diesel, From cold starts in the morning it emits a cloud of blue smoke (very pungent smell) for about 4-5 Seconds, it has been gradually getting worse in the last few months and I have now noticed the smoke when I start the car after it parked only for 3-4 hours.

What might be the Problem? I here injectors give trouble in Ford Focus’s, is the problem related?

Id get the heater plugs checked/changed before going any further!
If they are not working properly its unburnt diesel coming out on a cold start.
Its normally grey/white smoke though! Does it take a little longer to start than it used to?

Have you noticed it being any smokier when driving?
Is it using alot of oil?
If the answer is yes then its not the heater plugs. And its garage time.

Thanks Pre Racer, I'll check out the heater plugs,

No its not starting slow, always first turn and I can't say I have ever seen smoke during normal driving, It burns a small amount of oil, may one third down the dip stick in 12000km (some motorway driving) but I think this would be normal.
