    very simply, white sauce (mayo) + red sauce = pink sauce. :D

    seriously, i'm not kidding. :)

    there are sometimes a few other things in it as well to adjust the flavour like a squeeze of lemon or a little vinegar to dilute it a bit, depending on where you get it, but that's the very basic formula for it. it's the same kind of deal as you get in prawn cocktails.

    i actually thought from the thread title that you were talking about asian fish sauce, which is something very different. :)

    If you use tomato puree instead of ketchup it's far nicer. A bit of mustard too.

    Actually, just clicked the link, the one I do is probably Thousand Island Dressing
    I use lemon juice, tobasco and parsley in it too.
