Petrol Fumes?

Lately I've noticed a strong smell of petrol fumes inside and out of the car. Today I stopped the car to go back and close the gates and it was fairly strong. The engine was hot as I'd just driven home. Sometimes when it's idling in traffic I get this too, windows down or up. It seems to be coming from under the drivers…

But seems to be no apparent cracks in exhaust. Cat maybe?

Anyone any ideas?

Could it be over fueling or something? Petrol consumption is OK although it could be better.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Oh, car is a 1.6 Audi A4 (B5, with AZL B6 engine, if that makes any difference )
