Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ribery can't pass the ball at all.

I'm sick of watching Spain. I wish they'd just play a few long balls or something.

Hope France can nick one and do them on penos.
Need to be better in the final third though

I've seen more exciting football in a simulated game in Fifa:pac: Stadium is like a graveyard:P

    What about France?

They are contributing nothing to this game

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode. ''Left back to centre, centre holds it. Holds it. Holds it.''

    How is Malouda still on?

They could have done with Torres in that attack

In other news David Trezeguet has just scored his 11th and 12th goals in 18 games to get River Plate promoted.

Wish he was playing here instead of Benzema.

Bloody horrible game to watch thus far if ya ask me. Not a big fan of tappity tappity football personally, actually in short its a pretty poor tournament in general thus far.

I think it has been a fantastic tournament. This game aside, there has been a lot of poor defending and good attacking.

France are picking it up now.

    Superb from Lloris.

    Spain need a second asap

No idea, but changes now according to George so has to be him off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,648 ✭✭✭✭Witcher

The only time there is pace to the game is when France attack and Spain chase them down.

    Nasri I'd say for him.

These substitutions could disjoint the game for 5 minutes. I think France are still well in it despite being poor so far

Blanc WTF?! Debuchy off? Most effective attacker of the night imo.

    Different strokes for different folks.

I'v been bored to tears by most of the game, there has been one or 2 decent games the rest have been pretty crap. That for me isn't what I'd call a fantastic tournament.

    Ribery fouled his own man:P

It's funny how when Spain slow it down their normally perfect passing also goes to ****. It's as tho they have to be playing at a higher tempo just to function.

    shocking from the linesman?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Onside yes but it was very close so "shocking" is a bit harsh. I've done it and its actually hard to judge when its that close in real time.

there is something very wrong with this France team, only Cabaye, Kohscielny and Ribery look like they care

Clear pen. Stuck the leg in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Pedro is made of paper and goes down at the drop of a hat, but revelleire was stupid to go in from the angle. Penalty, no doubt about it. Well taken too.

Spains tactic is to bore the opposition to death. I really hope they go out in the next round.

Surprised to see Alonso give away his jersey there. Thought he'd have kept it considering it's his 100th cap.

They didnt even get out of 3rd gear.

    What about France's tactics?

Boring game although I still hope Spain win it for some reason.

Can't wait to see them against Germany, just hope both teams make it to the final

Exactly, score a goal, control the ball against many people's dark horses and finish it off. Perfect.

Last 30 odd minutes without a shot on target for France.
