Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but if I was going to set up a sitcom in Ireland AH would be the place I would look for inspiration, if I was going to create a current affairs Progam, I would certainly use quotes from AH (with promising not to use them) but certainaly some sound bits there.

Anyone else feel the same way, it's an education, and I would love to know why people need to feel they can post their feelings in AH, just curious

    a) how important is it to you
    b) how important is it to your self
    c) is it actually that important, for yourself or you, and basically your **** your own chain :)

All is good, why do you post :)

It's a waste of time. The dumber it gets the more difficult it is to look away.

I like AH and motors, they appeal to me. I somtimes forget which one I'm on. That lead to boring posts on one and bans on the other. I think AH is my favorite, it's kinda like the smoking area of a pub, all the interesting stuff happens there. Anyway, everything I post on "Regions" gets deleted straight away by the Mods, but I do tend to severly take the p1ss.

AH is great if you're looking for more reasons to lose faith in humanity.

Seriously, though, every time I come here I'm just glad these people are just an extremely loud minority.

Has your dole been delayed due to the Ulster Bank debacle?

I always thought my teenage life would make a good sitcom, I wouldn't necessarily be the main character by a long shot, just an observer mostly, the handicapped person getting spiked, the cool fela sucking a dick, a dad pissing himself many a night, selling a friends tv for pills, a woaman(girl) masterbaiting with a cup while everyone else didn't care, a lad thinking he was a jug of orange juice and didn't want to be spilled, jumping off the roof, cars on fire, I don't want to go on now. :o

No, that was the welfare officer you hit with that last pellet, shorty, a whole Town is now waiting for its scratcher.

I'd say the place is trawled by opportunists - like seagulls following the trawler.

Pretty sure I've heard some of the stuff vomited up here being re-vomited on the radio... or was it the other way round?

    Why do I post?

    Imagine, for a moment, if I didn't.

    Take your time, I'll wait.

That's why I post. You need me.

Who wants to watch a shítty sitcom when you can be part of the action ? You can be like that guy in the background walking back and forth doing nothing but the fact that nobody pays you any attention means you can do it every single episode. Be a part of the action but still completely irrelevant.

Ah's is a way of life.....its a state of mind.....its an internet forum full of opinionated weirdos clawing and screaming at each other trying to get someone to listen to them so their lives wont seem so pointless.

    I quite like it really.

Pasta with Goldfish. Sounds like pretty much everyone would throw that up. Though you never know, it might catch on.

AH is not was it was.

In fact it wasn't what it was when it was what it was.

I've got to sit down now.

Whatever about AH not being what it once was I still really enjoy it. I spend most of my Boards time in here, a day never goes by where somebody doesn't make me laugh.

Also the mods seem very fair and you can get away with a fair bit.

It's great craic. Spent years here lurking and stoned and I was entertained for hours. Now I'm sober and post rubbish unfunny unwitty remarks.

Might spend half an hour a week on animals and pet issues.

I also read the conspiracy theories threads if I need to fall asleep.

AH is the equivalent of that period when your tipsy without being drunk. Your really enjoying yourself, you've lost your inhibitions and your starting to talk ****e without being too over the top.
