1. What is your budget? €800-€950

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming, surfing the web, movies/youtube.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I could use my mouse.

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes.

5a. If yes, what size do you need. Preferable 20"+

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? I need a monitor.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? I'm not sure, I wouldn't like to try it myself..

8. How can you pay? Credit card, paypal, cash.

9. When are you purchasing? September (I'm probably a little early..)

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? I'm in Donegal.

I tried to sign up for that website: software4students, but it isn't accepting my school name, it just says "Please select a school"

I had no bother when putting in my school, so I'm no help there. Also you gonna want a cpu cooler like this. much cooler a quieter than the stock cooler if your going to be overclocking.

So can you do a fresh install of win7 from the www.software4students.ie?

Compatibility: Vista/XP pre-installed. Pre-existing and installed OS license required when installing the software.

It sounds like you need to have an existing version of windows.

I was confused by this too but it turns out you can. I read through some of the licensing and it says that the upgrade version of win 7 can only be installed on self built computer if the computer is to be sold onto a third party. So ye, you can.
