Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So Irish men are discriminated against when it comes to the family law area with regards child custody and maintenance, in the area of paternity leave, insurance, suicide prevention, domestic violence, prisons, dying younger, gender quotas and many more areas I would guess.

I'm open to correction on the above list which I mainly stole from the 'Men's Rights Thread' from TGC but I have a good idea of some of the topics and there is definitively discrimination against men in many areas.

Dr. Warren Farrell: Five Myths About Men & Male Power.

Myth 1 - Men earn more money than women for the same work
Myth 2 - Women are poorer, men are richer.
Myth 3 - Women are the most likely victims of violence
    Myth 4 - Male-dominated medical research ignores women's health
Myth 5 - The deadbeat dad
    (Myths about child custody)

Who are more discriminated against in Ireland today? 3 votes

Both are discriminated against in different ways and area's.

The men vs women debate is really tiresome at this stage. Things need to change regarding our outlooks and treatments of both men and women. I have a feeling this thread will turn into a women bashing thread though.

Yeah you're probably right. These threads always turn in a crapfest.

Anyway we had a huge discussion about sexism this year, so we can hold off on having another one for a few more months.
