    Aye, I'm not lawyer either. The do seem to be trying to follow the letter, if not the spirit of the regulations.

    On the BAI regulations that were posted earlier in the thread one of the clauses includes "Commercial Communications should be legal, decent, honest and truthful. They should not mislead and should be prepared with a
    sense of responsibility to consumers and society"

    Considering that Psychic reading services exploit the vulnerable it could be argued that they fall foul of being prepared with a sense of responsibility to consumers and society.

    Also it would be my opinion that they fall foul of being honest and truthful in that there is no such thing as psychic powers or clairvoyance or any of the rest of that mumbo jumbo that they spout every night.

    I was just thinking, wouldn't it be great if someone like James Randi rang up Flathan or Starella or whoever one night for the laugh.

    Those responses from TV3 are a disgrace in my opinion. It does not sound like an entertainment only service when someone sounding desperate calls about their finances, or falling out with their daughter, or test results for Cancer. Whatever way they shape it, it is still preying on the weak and desperate.
