Yes, they're required to specify that.

That was one of the things I talked about in my complaint to TV3, that the BAI state that programmes like this must state clearly that the service is for entertainment purposes. But having a banner in the corner of the screen should not be sufficient (and I'm not sure if the BAI deem it sufficient or not), because what the presenters are saying contradicts that banner. They claim that this is serious business, and never say once that it is merely entertainment.

I suspect that if they were required to state at regular intervals that "actually lads this is all just a bit of a laugh and a moneyspinner for us" it might have a bit more impact!
