Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pat's were very lucky last year. The last minute of the second leg in Richmond, IBV either hit the post or it whistled past the post. But that came after a 1-0 defeat in Iceland, so there is room to improve.

Vestmann is an old name for the Irish.

? We should have beaten them over there but for poor finsihing and beat them easily at home.

Different team tho this year and dont think Bucko has ever won a game in Europe.

    Shared Charter(s) been discussed.

Linfield FC and Shelbourne FC shared a plane when The Blues were playing Dynamo Tbilisi and Shels played in Ukraine.

the cost of getting to these games must be a huge drain on finances for clubs. i know uefa give some sort of grand (i think so anyway) but does anybody know how the clubs manage to pay for these trips?

would the teams fly on public airlines for certain games like for instance Talinn last year, Juve the year before for rovers?

bratislava is a wicked city...small, but its class. have been there a few times with work and for ireland games.

id go back there again in the morning if i had a reason to.

Pats last 7 euro draws; Samara, Bucharest, Reykjavik, Karagandy, Lviv, Vestmannaeyja, Široki Brijeg

We have to stop winning, UEFA obviously have it in for us.

I was there for an Irish game too. Still, there's plenty of places I'd rather go to than Bratislava!

I think all LOI teams have a reasonably good chance of progressing to the next round. That team Rovers got are no mugs but a good home leg could be key.

Yeah its a tough game alright. Their captain has over 100 caps for Slovakia..

As a trip though its as handy as they come.

Pats team have issues getting off the island in time for that so may not make it, so you may need to fill it.

Be great craic on the plane with both teams and fans :pac:

May seem a bit pricey for one night, but then again it's direct flights. You'd be lucky to book anything for about four ton going via London at such short notice.

I'd be all over it if it was the Reds.....

Any Pats fans know what prices actually in Iceland were like when they travelled the last time? Was pricey enough when I was there about 7 or 8 years ago. I paid the equivalent of €12.50 for a pint of Guinness. Needless to say I only bought one.

Might head to Tallaght for their home tie. Haven't been to a football match in over a year. Ekranas won't be any pushovers.

Well its a Galway team, and since Galway got itself into a mess and left its fans without a club why not give your support to another Galway based club?

Don't think you were trolling, maybe naive at worst thinking civilis would ever go to an SD match. You'll learn about affiliations quickly when stick to it.

Dreamers, how are ticket sales for the Pats match? Looks like I'm heading to Inchicore Thursday night.

Gonna head to Dalymount to see Bohs in action on Thursday night, first time I'm going to see a LoI club I'm ashamed to say. Looking forward to it.
