Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

jaysios 2nd and 3rd are shocking goals to concede.

not as bad as a 93rd minute equalisier but still shocking

    I'd opt for the Latvians!!

I think you'll find it's much worse. A last minute equaliser means you still get a draw. Conceding 2 goals in as many minutes and losing 3-1 is most definitely worse.

if pats progress these are our opponents.

    Hannover 96 (GER)
    Athletic Club (ESP)
SK Liepajas Metalurgs (LVA)/Legia Warszawa (POL)
FC Anzhi Makhachkala (RUS)/Budapest Honvéd FC (HUN)
Rosenborg BK (NOR)/FC Ordabasy Shymkent (KAZ)
    CS Marítimo (POR)

    Sligo

    Dinamo Moscow,
    Bursaspor,
    BSC Young Boys/FC Zimbru,
    Steaua Bucureşti,
ND Mura 05 (SVN)/ CSKA Sofia,
    Liverpool

if we get tru its obvious who we will get and obvious Sligo will get Liverpool.

Would like to see us get a team we can beat. The Latvians or the Kazakhs even with the long trip. Hope we go as far as we can and keep up our record of being Ireland's most successful European team.

Dreamers does it all the time, I assumed everyone else just thought it was cute.

Strange he doesnt sign off all domestic games with "Ireland's 5th/6th/7th? most successful club".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

In all fairness, i'm truly gutted with tonights result!! We really really should have beaten them tonight. They had nothing whatsoever!! Their sending off wasn't even that big of a deal.

There are no excuses to lose to this lot. If we do, we do. But we have the advantage, lets just do them at Richmond Park!!!!!

As far as I know...5th in terms of leagues, joint 7th in terms of FAI Cups, and seventh in League Cups.:)

Talk about another kick in the balls

Pats have no hope with that Predetermined Draw

Believe it or not im in England around the 2nd leg of the 3rd Round and if we had got Liverpool it would have been a dream for my other half and 8 year old.

Still feeling sick at the attitudes of some people when Irish teams are playing in Europe

I hate the Green hooped (Rent Boys) but in Europe i will not cheer against them

Realy hope Sligo can claw it back next week, in the chat tonight their fans were a credit to their club.

    3rd Round fixtures

    Sligo vs Liverpool

    St Pats vs Rosenborg

If Sligo get the dream draw i will pop down to anfield and cheer them on

Edited to remove something that is against the charter

Thank to the Shams mod for pointing that out and thanks for the warning

    Quite Pathetic

Why would I? Irelands European Club...ummm its what we are? kinda want to sign off every post with 5-1 now...

its kinda sad...ireland has a coefficent in europe.....its called the Patsascore.

You lot keeping fcuking it up, it used to be irelands coeffiecent but lets be honest your all **** in Europe, seriously just stop.....your all ****.

We gain 2 places for the entire league and rovers lose them in one fell swoop.

Seriously lads your letting Irelands European Club down here.

Time to slap a drinking ban on Dreamers for the rest of the season. He's getting out of control. :pac:

Rovers possible 3rd qualifying round opponents if we get a result on Tuesday:

    RSC Anderlecht (BEL)

FC BATE Borisov (BLR) or FK Vardar (MKD)

F91 Dudelange (LUX) or FC Salzburg (AUT)

    CFR 1907 Cluj (ROU)

TNS FC (WAL) or Helsingborgs IF (SWE)

Helsingborgs would be the favoured draw there I would have thought, assuming they get past TNS.

They can't use it - Tallaght or RDS are the likely options. Depends on the draw really.

definitely the toughest draw rovers could of gotten

Pros: easy to get to; fairly glamorous tie and they will be out of season (or just starring).

Cons: they're good and we're currently brutal.

I think the really frustrating thing about that is that Rovers are more than good enough to beat them or get a 1-1 draw. If they play like Tuesday, I'd say it's not far off guaranteed. But just as easily and more likely given the away performances this season, it could be 3-0 after 10 minutes.

I'd have said Cluj was the nightmare - or Pats - draw there. Belgium is much easier to get to..

Plus you have the bonus of a Europe play-off guaranteed.

Zero chance of getting by Anderlecht though.

I don't know about that - not much to choose between Anderlecht, BATE and Cluj. As the lads say above, it's a nice away trip if nothing else.

Rovers have to get past Ekranas - they're muck.

'Tis a tough one alright, but it is a relative glamour tie at least.

    ****ing hell

Joey was racially abused by their fans when he played against them for Shels. So at least he has that sh*t to look forward to if we get past Trnava. He'll probably be booed off the ball every time since they got made an example of after it.

Joey and Morrison iirc! They did however have a huge crowd in Tolka for it.

It'd be nice alright. Steau Bucharest await in the next round if we manage it.

Delighted we avoided Liverpool in the draw anyway. Don't think I could stomach Sligo people going to a game supporting the away team.

thought rovers were the better side last night despite the result, in saying that i didnt think they played all that well. is that them gone now or do they parachute into the europa?
