Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    While perusing one of the tabloids today I noticed the following terms used when referring to certain people to imply a higher than normal status in their relative professions.
    For example, not every scientist gets called an egg head, nor does every singer gets called a crooner.

    Boffin, egghead
    Legal eagle
    Gangland enforcer, crime lord
    Crooner
    Mogul
    Socialite

    Anyone bored enough to add to the list?

    For someone that is capable of that sort of analysis, ie grouping words into distinct groups you should be reading a better quality paper,

    although if this sort of this interests you... probably not.
