Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Just a quick question.

Does he go shopping around Dublin like a normal citizen does, going to Aldi etc getting his groceries?

Is it normal to see him with his family in the park etc?

Im not from Dublin so thats why i ask.

You seem to imply this is an important distinction to make. Just bizarre!

Maybe im wrong,i just thought that he lived in and worked from Dublin so if he lives in Dublin and im not from there then i have little chance of seeing him as a Dublin resident would.

I seen him recently shopping with his wife just the two of them. I don't think he has anything to fear in Castlebar and from what I hear he is very down to earth type of person.

If you're truly interested in an answer, After Hours is not the place. Maybe the Politics forum would be.

Also, Enda Kenny lives in the Steward's House on the grounds of Farmleigh in Phoenix Park, which is the unofficial residence of the Taoiseach. As far as I know, he uses it during the week and on working weekends, and is the first Taoiseach to do so on an active basis. For instance, Cowen only used it for days when the Dáil sat late into the night. Ahern never used it as he had his own residence in Dublin. (But that was a security nightmare; hence the use of the Steward's Lodge.)

Ive often wondered does Bertie still drink in his well known local in Drumcondra. There honestly would be a serious risk of some drunken muppet who blames Bertie for the bank having lent him money to buy apartments in Bulgaria to start mouthing off at him about how everything wrong in his life is Berties, and not his own, fault. I would reckon he has security in the background most of the time.

Bertie still drinks in Fagnas Drumcondra met him in there several times...as for Enda, just last week he went for a big cycle around Party in Mayo on his own, it was in the local paper and he had no security, he goes about Mayo all on his own anyway..sure he's a big boy now..

He's not a Freeman of Dublin , so he can't have his sheep grazing with Bono's in St.Stephens Green yet. . .
