Hi all,

I'm looking to head off out of Melbourne this weekend with a few mates but not sure where to go/what to do. I normally have soccer Saturday mornings but we have a blank fixture this weekend so I'd like to head out of the city for Friday and Saturday night just to do something different. I'll be driving so I need somewhere within 3-5 hours drive away. Might be too cold for camping so I might look into a caravan site if there's one near wherever we go. Don't want to spend a huge amount of money if we can avoid it. Any good places that would have decent nightlife/scenery for a weekend trip?

Nightlife will be nowhere near Melbournes outside of the city limits.

Torquay if you want to go towards coast
or
Bright in the high country, it should be really scenic now, though a bit cold
