Does anybody know if there's a bus that takes you from Dundalk to Jonesborough? If not, are cabs there expensive? Thanks.

Yes there are, the 100 bus (not the 100x, that's inter-city) from Drogheda-Dundalk-Newry, buses leave at 25 past the hour at Longwalk station, starting at 7 am through to 6 pm, excepting 9 am, 11 am & 1 pm. I repeat that's 25 past all hours except 9 and 11 am & 1 pm. Ask the driver to drop you off on the hill going up to the village before he turns towards the Carrickdale Hotel. He will most certainly oblige, no problem. The walk up is at most 5 minutes.

Timetables are available at the hatch/window inside the station office. To return you'll have to go down to the Hotel to get picked up, which from the village is maybe 10 mins walk. The frequency of buses from Newry is the same, but double check the timetable in Dundalk or from the driver.
