I don't know if they skirted around the "British" thing or not to keep it ambiguous.

The girl in the brothel said the man in the cap had a non-local but strong regional British accent.

Ted has that (Northern Ireland is a regional British accent, politics aside).

Who else is there? Is Dot's accent mad strongly regional?

    Any Scottish characters?

The dead geezer, he had a sever northern accent.

No Hastings is head of AC12. The boss of Steve's ex girlfriend. I cannot think of his name for the life of me.

That's it. He also had a very strong accent. That clue doesn't narrow it down much. Although it does sound a bit like the red herring which Dot played at the end against Steve in Series 3.

Hargreaves was one of the nonces going to the brothel, H blackmailed him into going to the robbery via one of the condoms. He was the bloke pictured walking out and that's why he looked so scared while meeting Lisa. H's "you know what to do" to Lisa was him telling her to set someone else up via condom blackmail to go to the robbery and pose as H.

I think anyone that is a fan of Line of Duty will enjoy the Bodyguard, another BBC cop show that is on Netflix. Watched 3 episodes last night and really enjoyed it.

Quick synopsis, guy gets back from Army duty, becomes bodyguard for home secretary, it all kicks off.
It's ok last episode is shocking imo

The bodyguard was dross in comparison to LOD.

    Not comparable at all imo.

True detective season 2 with the Bill season 5 I'd say.

Just seen last sunday's episode, did anyone else notice the way Railston wore her hair when she turned up at the scene of the robbery the following morning?
    Very similar to McQueen.

Well, it's from the same creator and was created during season 4 and 5 of LoD.

Bodyguard was fine.. but compared to LoD? Yeah.. not a patch!

Check out "Bosch" if you like your police fare - superior cop show - particularly season 5 which is excellent and out-shines line of duty easily in all honesty.

On Amazon. Could watch season 5 in isolation and watch other seasons after - having seen the lot it would not have a huge impact as fairly distinct, particularly in the case of 5.

Let’s Bosch all the other programs on the head and stick to line of duty

    .

Why bother watching Bosch when it's nowhere near as good as the Wire?

The Wire > Bosch > Line of Duty > Happy Valley > The Bodyguard > The Bill

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,138 ✭✭✭Uncharted

Happy Valley is wayyy superior to The Bodyguard.

    The bodyguard was overhyped rubbish.

You're right, it totally is. I've just fixed that.

Is this actually the case? Just watched the trailer, and it looks good. They've even copied one of the characters straight from the wire, same actor and everything.
But if I start with 5 will it spoil anything from previous seasons?

Watch it from the start so you can get to know the characters and follow the story of Bosch, jumping in at series 5 seems silly to me

But back to line of duty - who’s excited for this evening ? Gogglebox U.K. is good to see the reactions btw
Won’t be long now and we will be sucking diesel

Cannot wait. Really looking forward to it.

Haven't anticipated a weekly episode so much since the Soprano's.

You can watch season 5 and then watch the other ones. Won't make much difference as there was a big break after season 4 in terms of story.

Would be an issue with many shows but not here.

Season 5 is the best season.

I say watch season 5 and then go back to 1.
