Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello!

Ok me and two other lads are renting a place in Galway till November. The house has the upc cut off and no internet.

What would be the best internet to get for 3 people for around 4 months? and the same question for the Channels.

    Cheers

Can you not get UPC back in?

Sky will most likely want you to sign a 1 year contract, rules them out. Could you get an old dish somewhere and use it to receive the free to Air?

    Use Bonkers to select Broadband.

Ask here and here for TV options.

Oh, probably not, but with it only needing to be reactivated no harm to ring and see.

don't bother with a tv option at all, you've http://www.aertv.ie/ and RTE Player, get a decent VPN for BBC Iplayer, Netflix and download anything else.

Whatever you do, get a dongle out on trial before you sign up to Three and test it at all times of the day, they are an awful company to deal with after.

Is this prepay you're looking at?

buy a skybox ,dish adverts ie 60 euro, you,ll get loadsa fta channels, bbc, itv,c4, music ,news ,etc
As long as dish is pointed towards astra ,you ,ll get
a good picture, you can put it on a balcony.against wall,
no need to drill hole s.its only 4 month lease.http://www.uksatellitehelp.co.uk/2007/08/01/alignment-calculator-for-sky-digital/

see what angle the neighbours dish is on.
theres also freesat boxes, i prefer the menu listings on sky tv boxes.

google install sky box, uk, its just a matter of pointing dish, in right direction.
copy neighbours angle of dish. i can setup a dish in maybe 15 minutes.
you can buy a compass ,or a signal sat finder, 12 euro approx ,powercity.
IT goes beep, beep, when it picks up signal,
    stronger signal,= faster beeps.
run sat cable from lnb to sky box, plug each end, f connector ,one end to box, other end to lnb on dish arm.http://www.selkirkshire.demon.co.uk/analoguesat/gettingstarted.html

connect box to tv ,with scart cable,
    turn on box,
one person looks at tv, other person moves dish, slowly ,i think astra sat is at 28 degrees ,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astra_1A
when sky menu appears person 1 says ,stop moving.
    note dish arm, position.
google how to set up a sky dish astra uk
