Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

NO. I'm good-looking. Therefore I get PLENTY of play from Irish women. Only thing is they're insufferable. That's all I'm saying. Don't assume things.

    Well, aren't we lucky:rolleyes:.

Homophobia is hatred of gay people isn't it? I'm not seeing any hate of gay people here, just of women.

Oh of course, goes without saying that irrational, bitter hatred is something that afflicts a minority.

on a serious note, if you are going to ride a ginger bird you have to take into consideration of the poor children with their ginger hair. They will be an easy target for school bullies! "Hey there rusty balls" I think you should reconsider your type of girl!

    TBH....ye kinda are. :o

Other nationalities seem to be far nicer personality wise and take care of themselves a lot better imo. Tis a bit of a generalisation but for the most part it tends to ring true Ive found. Just my opinion.

I find Irish women seem to be abrasive personality wise and then have a self image at least 50% better than what reality states.

Yep, we're kinda lucky that individuals like Johnjoe7 would put up with us...

Of course we're not, Shopaholic - why are you even asking?

Some Irish women being insufferable meaning all Irish women are insufferable is the same as me saying Irish men are hate-filled nutters whose attitude to women seems borderline violent, on the basis of a few posts to this thread, but I don't roll like that because the few are obviously not all.

    priorities.

    1. Be clean & healthy (no funny smells like fish etc)
    2. Have a sense of humour, maker her laugh.
    3. Don't talk about sex or attraction (treat her like a mate you like talking to)
    4. Don't, DON'T talk about your mother, ex girlfriend or hint that she looks like someone else.
    5. Always smile, hard men are only for quickies.

Now how did I know this thread was going to attract posters who love nothing more than slagging off all Irish women....?

OP, trust me, we're not all gold-digging, bitchy, ugly, egotistical moaners, despite how some would like to paint us on here. As long as you don't exude latent anger, bitterness and hostility towards women, chances are you'll have no problems finding a lovely Irish girl - ginger or otherwise! :)

Pedant, I am an Irish heterosexual woman. You have implied that I am a slut who will have sex with any stranger who offers.

Do you have a problem with heterosexuality?

    Whoa! Tough crowd.

"Slut" is such a terrible word. There's nothing wrong with being promiscuous?

As a guy Ive meet women who were on my wavelength and ones that arnt theres guide lines that shopohlic has said which are pretty much bang on but I think ultimately its down to two people and how they connect...

if theres no connection theres no attractions no matter how good looking the two people are in question...

So it's ok to question and ridicule the majority. That means you condone treating homosexuals differently.
    Yes. It's called affirmative action.

    You're making yourself look foolish.

Can you explain to me please why it's fine for you to make a sweeping statement about the sexual habits of straight people yet the same statement when applied to your own social group is suddenly offensive?

You brought an entire sexual orientation, homosexuality, into question. I just brought the sexual habits of women in one particular small country into question. The sexual habits of women in Ireland would be related to the culture on this island, and would not necessarily pertain the sexual habits of all women everywhere. However questioning the sexual habits of an entire sexual orientation (not just here but everywhere, beyond culture) suggests that those sexual habits are an endemic part of homosexuality. Therefore, your comment is of greater offense than my comment as it goes far deeper than just culture. My comment more so puts culture into question and less so gender/orientation.

It's a word like any other. I never said there was anything wrong with being promiscuous. You implied that all Irish women are, and your advice to the OP was simply to ask an Irish girl if they wanted to f*ck and she would automatically say yes - even though the guy in question would make a point of not telling her his name.

When you were asked if this was also not the case with homosexuals this suddenly became 'gay bashing', because as you put it they are a 'minority group'.

So feel free to ridicule heterosexual Irish women, but leave the homosexuals alone:rolleyes:.

    Pedant wrote: »

So you can freely mock the majority as long as the minority are sheltered?

Again, treating one group differently is discrimination.

Or to paraphrase Animal Farm: All irish are equal but homosexuals are more equal than the others.

At least I wasn't putting an entire sexual orientation into question. I was talking about IRISH women. And BTW, I didn't call anyone a slut.

Pedant, nobody called an entire sexual orientation into question - BunShopVoyeur merely asked if the same 'pulling techniques' could be utilised by both hetero/homosexuals.

Go to a club and try your technique on IRISH woman and let me know how successful it is;).

I used the word slut - it was what you implied Irish women are. How else would you describe someone who answers yes to every stranger who asks them do they want to f*uck, whilst informing them that they are not going to tell them their name?

I think you got on your high horse unnecessarily, no one expressed an issue with homosexuality.

Latin American men have no qualms about doing that anyway. They have balls and and that's attractive in itself.

Irish men have balls too - which is why Irish women now cry into their stereotypical pint glasses of blue WKD - because non-alcoholic foreign women with manners, poise and no spare tyres would appear to be a superior catch to the Irish equivalent.
Most foreign women have a sense of humour and don't just regard a man as an accessory 'til the newer fancied model comes along. Irish social welfare is sooooo accommodating to dating Irish mothers!!

Definite anti-man here. Every comment written by a poster that could be a man - rejected with a sneer and a sexually derogatory remark of some variety.

Note to self: Must prepare for anti-male, feminist questioning of my:

.... prospects / sexual habits / equipment size

    by return post.

My workplace has a good mix of Irish and foreign. There are plenty of overweight foreign women knocking around.

My lab has one Italian girl, one Spanish girl and six Irish girls - all slim. And all the Irish girls are gym mad! I'm the lab fatty and I'm a size 12!

And watch out for her tendencies to passiv-aggessive smilies! You know the ones - she puts them into most of her posts.

You may think that Irish women attitudes are out of kilter with European standards of personality, womanhood, decency and independence. (As do most Irish men. The aforementioned European female standard is far superior to the Irish female standard).
Just be aware - you're not allowed to think that!

I never said you didn't  Unfortunately many Irish men rely on drink to give them those balls. Latin American men...not so much. :)

My boyfriend is Spanish. My sisters are married to foreign men. Most of my female Irish friends living abroad are going out or are married to foreign men. If you think it's only Irish men who date foreign women, you're fooling yourself to suit your own bitter agenda. I don't know any Irish woman crying because she can't pull an Irish or foreign man. It's fairly easy for most of us. ;)

This thread has contributions from bitter, angry Irish men, not women, so ask yourself which gender are having the problems scoring foreign or Irish men. If that's the kind of attitude you have, it's no wonder women blank you on a night out.

And the fact that you can generalise about 3.5 billion foreign women from the Land of Foreign just shows the stupidity in your statement and the fact that you're only posting here because your bitter over previous rejections and want to get some kind of pathetic revenge.

I'm speaking about the small minority of Irish men here btw...not generally. I've never had problems with men :)
