Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The credit cards ones are all laughing at our paper yokes with the bit o' laminate!

Oh we did have a giggle when my husband got his new Irish driving license changed over from his UK one. Looks like something the kids would make up on a computer. And only laminated on one side !

    2. junkies hassling you all around town (no i dont got spare change im on the dole, and you probably are too with a hostel address..)..

    3. fas and jobbridge (stealing what could be a paid job from the community..used to massage dole figures and a huge cost to SW provides no employment goes on to create unemployment in any given area they are in..for example a company signs up to jobbridge for free labour as opposed to advertising a few paid jobs instead..

    4. fellas/girls passing comment or making a joke when your in front of them ..

    5. nepotism in work

    6. people who give out about those who have a sense of entitlement, who constanlty bash on those who are on the dole..give it up ffs who know you might be next in this recession..

Our educational system....hasn't moved with the times and needs to be more innovative to get our entrepeneurs to the forefront of industry. I'd love to see Engineers & Scientists run the country as opposed to accounts & solicitors!

If I could have a second one, I'd get a lot of tugboats to tow Ireland down and tuck it into the corner where France and Spain are bordered. Then we'd have nicer weather and a land border with Europe, and we could start growing wine grapes and wearing berets.

Better cliffs for the tourists to come and look at

More hydroelectric power can be got

Might prevent some of the clouds from making their way in.

Slightly less fuel used by planes making their way in and out of Ireland

It has to be women! Maybe if they were like proper European women who are actually nice people, we're stuck with nothing but stuck up mingers in this country! I find their attitude amazing, so ignorant.

The bloody weather. Since early may we've had frig all in the way of decent weather; the odd day now and again, and that's it. Steady heavy drizzle/rain since late afternoon. Oh, for a couple of weeks of dry, sunny, hot/warm-ish weather. Is it THAT much to ask in early July?

A lot more common in Ireland... I've travelled all over Europe and South Amercia and never encountered females like the ones here. Don't know where they get the attitude and arrogance from considering the majority of them are overweight, bitchy and totally fake. Most women in Europe appreciate a good personality and a nice person, you have to be a total prick here! Don't even get me started on jersey pullers... It's so easy to pull good looking birds abroad and here most of them are so rude in nightclubs and pubs. Won't even enertain a chat and can be quite vicious, especially groups of girls. Anyone who denies this clearly isn't out anywhere in Ireland every weekend. Can't even have a chat with most of them on a bus, train, etc. They think they're all that.Sad times!

Politicians who know what they're doing. Everything else should follow...

Apart from the weather, of course. But with the improved public transport system, that wouldn't be as much of a problem as it is now ;)

A correct Gini Coefficient - the very best basis for a society that works is a low Gini ratio. Ireland's is swinging disastrously out of kilter at the moment.

More long term infrastructure planning. Everything done today is for today and not for the next. I am thinking more Gandonesque architecture, more turn of the 20th century edifices, and less of the feeble erections of the late decade, soulless monstrosities that will be a new blight upon the land, unable to be removed, but a curse on the eyeball daily for generations to come.

Not all Irish girls are rude and vicious, but I do to an extent agree with what you said about other European's appreciating a nice person. The old saying 'The nice guy always finishes last' seems to be more true here, than say Eastern Europe and some other places. It's only a generalisation though and there are good and bad everywhere.
