Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

easy to see how andrews lost the head with him in the italy match.

Ref ****ed Nani over twice. What a gimp.

It's been said a million times before but it's worth saying again. If only Portugal had a good striker.....

Shocking Ref. Is this the same clown that ruined the Italy game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Owen_S

It's safe to say the referee's intentions are now clear. First Nani was taken out on the counter, yet no free kick. Then he stopped Nani on the counter in another ridiculous decision.

great game, portugal all over them, hopefully they convert and don't retreat and allow spain to push on.

This is better than Italy - Spain and Portugal - Holland imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

Portugal are playing really well! Ronaldo only had a sniff of that and almost squeezed it in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Spain looking very pedestrian in possession

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,017 ✭✭✭sReq | uTeK

honestly think portugal would be a forced to be reckoned with if they had a centre forward, it's practically 11v10

Yep, he seems the type of ref that wants people taking notice of him.

The one where Nani dived? Wasn't a free

Ref having a good game tbh

WTF is Pique at? If Portugal score it will be his fault.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Didn't know pee wee herman was refereeing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

What are you all on about? The ref has done nothing wrong bar blowing for a free before Nani had even done his turn to beat the two players and then not given one free. Other than that he has been brilliant by allowing the game to flow.

Nani, stop ruining a perfectably enjoyable game ffs

    Nani is a disgrace

I predict a remarkable nani recovery shortly.

    RIP Nani

EDIT: Nani's middle name must be Lazarus!

It's amazing how you can look on your death bed one minute, and then up and running around the next.

Lourdes wouldn't have a look in.

Ramos is an absolute headbanger. And Merieles, he is also a headbanger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

I don't think I've ever seen a game Ramos has been involved in that you couldn't make a legitimate case for him being sent off :pac: He could easily have had 2 yellows by now.

Why the eff is Negredo playing. Shouldn't even be in the squad.

I know Ramos was booked, but the Ref should really be booking more Spanish players for fouling Ronaldo.

Why are the Spanish players wearing black armbands?

To be fair you can hate Nani no matter who you follow...he is Drogbaesque in that regard.

Why are the Spanish players wearing black armbands?

Miquel Roque, a Real Betis player died last weekend.

Why are the Spanish players wearing black armbands?

For Miki Roque who died of cancer recently.

I read earlier that UEFA wouldn't allow a minutes silence before kickoff.

Games gone scrappy last ten minutes or so. Funny seeing Spain hitting long balls

Uefa said that no such request was made.

Drogba is likable though. If you said he is Suaresesque then you could have made the point you intended to.

Lots of praise for Portugal here but to be honest I haven't found it a great match at all.

portugal been the better team in the first half.

nani has been awful though.....but negredo has been a million times worse!

spain need torres to make the back 4 of portugal run back and create space in midfield for the playmakers.
