Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lets not ruin a match thread by trying to troll each other over who has the most dislikable player on their team...

Its my only source for following whats happening in the game :p

    Gerrard-esque, even. :pac:
I suppose this wins, because even though you can accuse Drogba and Nani of diving, they never say diving is despicable and ruins the sport, and then proceed to dive :D

    Wow.

Portugals defending has been better than Italy's imo, which was the standout feature of that game. And as enjoyable as Holland's embarrassing defence was, enjoying this a lot more from a competence point if view. Game of the tournament so far.

LOL at all the Liverpool fans with their Nani hating :)

I think I've been quite consistant with my playactor hating throughout the championships, regardless of their club alliegence.

Lots of praise for Portugal here but to be honest I haven't found it a great match at all.

It's good simply because Spain are playing crap and Portugal are taking the game to them.

Not a great game by any means. Ronaldo has been teethering, done bits here and there but nothing outstanding yet.

Portugal have been the better team and are really taking it to Spain, you really see teams that have the balls to attack Spain, they can better them. Ramos and Pique look afraid of Ronaldo when he gets the ball. They look nervous and weak. Pique has missed a few headers and just hasn't looked his assured self.

I sincerely hope Portugal continue in this positive manner because the game is their for the win if they do.

portugal been the better team in the first half.

nani has been awful though.....but negredo has been a million times worse!

spain need torres to make the back 4 of portugal run back and create space in midfield for the playmakers.

    How has Nani been awful?

To be fair you can hate Nani no matter who you follow...he is Drogbaesque in that regard.

Drogba is likable though. If you said he is Suaresesque then you could have made the point you intended to.

I made the point I intended to.

I'm Not even sure who this Suares guy is.

I take it the ref has got a pasting for blowing up when Nani was attacking?

I trust the comments about Negredo have been spot on, can't believe that the TV director went a whole half without cutting to a frustrated/pensive Torres wondering what he'd done not to start.

He's dogdick del bosque doing a trap , ala Simon cox

To be fair to Negredo he has scored 40 goals in the last two seasons and has 6 in 12 for Spain. He's a very good striker, but perhaps not the best option for this game.

I find it odd, that a lot of Spanish and Portuguese fans, tipsters and pundits are saying this has been a poor game elsewhere but on here... it's game of the tourney so far for some.

    __

    Better second half please!

Fair enough point taken. My point is they need a striker who will run at them and make them back up thus creating midfield space.. At the moment portugal are high up pushing Spain's midfield back on their defence and it's too packed

Spain will regret not taking on Torres...they need a front man to run behind the defense to create space for the midfield.

Nani needs to pull the finger out, he's been an absolute pile of **** so far. So inconsistent , can't Belive some united fans claim he isn't, you'll get a few months out of him and then boom exactly like he's playin now , sh*t.
