Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Portugal are giving Spain a torrid time but they have no end product. Spain being Spain will only need a couple of good chances, if that, to put this game beyond their opponents. The problem with Portugal is they just don't seem to have any real grit in the final 3rd. Nani went down despite being possibly through on goal and Ronaldo is pacey but his wing trickery would have produced a result by now if it were enough and he's not exactly known for his resistance to diving either. Expecting some serious Portuguese frustration in the final 15 of this one.

Was Busquets just booked for looking Ronaldo to get booked? Delighted for him if so.

Think he waved an imaginary card

That was a dive from Fabregas.

He's ran with the ball once but I suppose it more than negrano did so making a difference wouldn't be all that hard

He was pulled though, so it was a free

Good to see the scumbag Busquets getting booked. If Portugal had a decent striker they would win this. Almeida, Postiga are just not good enough.

Great ball Ronaldo but Almeida is useless.

How can you say that and then say Nani dived when Ramos blatantly moved to block him in the 1st half?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

Again Almeida shoots wildly from the wing, get him the fcuk off! Only thing he's done is that defensive header.

No, there was a hand on him, he wasn't pulled. He obviously felt the hand and dived.

Off topic, but Bert van Marwijk has resigned.

There was an article in the sun today saying he had dropped Vdv , Huntelaar and Kuyt from the next squad I thought that was bit rich from him . Glad he's gone there a good team need a new manger to take them in a different direction .

    Febregas was held. Nani dived.

    Not that hard to explain.

It's so annoying attacking player loses it in the opposition half, he lies down knowing opposition will kick it out and their team can relax

It should be a free to the other team if you kick it out he ref has a ****ing whistle let him blow it.

Portugal up to eleven players now.

Alba free kick there. I hate it when referees give a free when a player goes down and starts roaring.

If you're trying to convert a neutral to football then telling them that Spain is the best team in the world would not be very convincing.

Last stat according to Ger Canning was 53% for Spain and 47% for Mayo.

Hate how Houghton always says It didn't look like a foul, or someone got lucky and completely changes his stance when he sees the replay
