Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wonder will Dunphy start in on Ronaldo again if Portugal go out:

"This fella Ronaldo, is a cod."

Where do Spanish athletes get their extra energy from?

    He's been pretty poor today.

Was brilliant in the last 2 games but poor in 3 of 5 games is hardly up to his high standard.

Not saying Dunphy is correct, he's not a cod but he's not god either.

I think it was the second roll from Ronaldo that got his attention.

Jeez, these guys need to man the feck up!
The U17 Ireland girls didn't complain about the hits and bumps they took yesterday and they were some hits they took!

It's not that they can't handle the hits, they do it to stop play. Ronaldo pretending to be hurt there stopped a Spanish attack. He'll be happy with that

between himself and ray they have been terrible. can't stand ray and Ronnie whelan as well, they offer nothing in terms of inciteful analysis. give me Brian Kerr any day

On average the opposition run a good bit more than the Spanish team because of how much possssion they usually have. Makes sense that they would have more in resereve at the latter stages of the game.

So it surprises you that the best footballer in the world is mentioned during a game of football.....where half the spanish players on the pitch play with him at club level....and his main rival for the mantle is also playing.

You must be easily surprised so.

No only 12 million I think because his contract his up next year. Some signing he will be.

    Casillas has the advantage here.

Cmon Portugal but I fancy Spain.

    Ronaldo, Nani to miss unfortunately.

    Ronaldo will score.

    No doubt about that.

    Think Spain will win 5-4.

Only 1 miss IMO, maybe a Casilas save.
