I'm looking for someone to take my lovely pooch while we're on holidays. We usually put her in a boarding kennels but I feel she gets lonely and bored ... She's a family pet and is always around kids ... Does anyone know of such a service? Any suggestions as to how I would find someone to take her in for two weeks ... I'm in Longford ... I thought about putting a notice up in the ispca in kenagh ... Many thanks in advance of replies

when i was googling for catteries/pet sitters i found a woman in sligo who takes in dogs as in takes them in, they live as family pets rather than in kennels but it's probably too far away from you. your local spca or your vet might be able to suggest someone?

I can recommend home boarding on the mayo/galway border in clonbur. she's great so if that's not too far I can PM you the number.

Thanks so much for the suggestions ... My pooch is a small border collie and a nervous passenger so I don't think we could travel that far ... Thanks anyhow. I never thought to ask the vet ... Taking her for her boosters this week do I'll ask. Thanks again for taking the time to reply
