Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think they are for your muscles to keep them pretty limber. Could be completely wrong though.

What's the odds on a Mario hat trick before half time? :pac:

That's disgraceful from Cassano. If that was Ronaldo there would be uproar.

Podolski and Kroos have been useless for Germany.

    Cassano. :pac:

Looks bad for Antonio Cassano. Italy will just do what they are good at from now on, keeping the ball and catching ze Germans on the counter just like for Mario's goal

Do you think ? Italy looked their equal in the first game and Spain have been far from Impressive . .

Germany need to get an early goal because they look out of sorts . . Ive said it before, they have a soft belly that was exposed in the World Cup and seems to be popping up here. They dont like teams putting it up to them (in all fairness there is only a handful of teams capable!).

If Germany can get a quick goal, Italy may tire with Sundays game catching up with them .

clearly it is quite hard with the amount of players that still do it

Why? If it's Italy that go through they will match Spain. The game in the group stages could have been won by Italy.

The Germans are a disgrace, shocking lack of discipline by the central defenders. Meanwhile up front they are very poor, Arsenals new striker looks hopeless.

Defending for the 2nd was disgracefull.2 Germans were closer to th egoal than Balotelli when the ball is played with a third not far behind him. Only Lahm bothered his arse chasing back.

I think it's to do with advertising. When a guy scores, the advertisers want their brand linked with the close up photos of that moment of success. If the scorer removes his shirt, the advertiser misses the associated value which is the reason for their huge investment. They had a word and FIFA changed the rules.

I think that's the story. You're right though, it does seem harsh.

regardless of the reason though, its a simple rule. It really isnt hard to not take your shirt off.

It's like players do it at this stage just to see if the ref will book them.

Germany are ordinary just shut the **** up dunphy been praising them loads.

One of the downsides of this scoreline was Dunphy would inevitably call the Germans ordinary as he did the same for their last game so no surprise. Still sets it up for a comeback and Dunphy going all metaphysical to explain it.

Honestly now they are saying Germany Dont have the players to match italy. The **** that comes out of their mouth sometimes Germany have not been great his half that's it, reus needs to come on and muller too, klose for Gomez

Funny how nobody is passing to Balzaretti. Wonder if Germany have figured this much out yet?

Yeah I agree. If Balotelli picks up a second yellow I'll have no sympathy for him.

It's hilarious, Germany don't have the quality when they beat Portugal and Holland he was tipping them to win the tournament, they can be so frustrating on rte do they not remember what they say previously.

Germany in their quest for uber attacking football, have forgotten how to defend. Italy on the other hand have been superb at the back, bar the first 10-15 mins.

Podolski and Kroos need to come off. With Srulle and Muller or someone, they might have a chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭Renn

Guessing Di Natale could come on at 70mins if still 2-0? Just to save Balotelli from something stupid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,379 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Just said on ARD that Klose and Reus are coming on for the second half.
